Home For Good helps families keep their kids safely at home. We help bring kids home from treatment centers, group homes, detention, or foster care, or to prevent placement when kids are at risk.
We offer a comprehensive program of therapy, case management, and 24-hour emergency support. We work with birth, foster, or adoptive families.
Services may be funded by Medicaid.
Children’s Mental Health Program
Home for Good offers an array of services that can be funded by Medicaid under the Children’s Mental Health Program, to help families and communities bring children home from treatment centers sooner, while continuing a high level of care in the home.
Our dynamic training program helps parents and family members keep their kids at home. Parents learn to manage stress, build on strengths, reduce difficult behaviors, improve communication, and strengthen support networks. Family/Caregiver training is generally provided in small groups, but can also be provided individually in the home. Content can be adapted to meet the needs of the child and family.
Therapeutic Consultation
Home for Good offers specialized therapeutic consultation by a Licensed Mental Health professional in the area of family therapy, applied behavioral analysis, complex trauma, occupational therapy, or other disciplines. This may include direct observation and evaluation of the child’s functioning in the home and community. Therapeutic consultants work closely with families, in-home therapists, and other treatment team members to integrate their recommendations into the overall plan of care.
In-Home Residential Support
In-HomeResidential Support is provided by a trained and highly skilled mental health worker. This service is designed to provide continued support if needed after Intensive In-Home services have been completed, or as an alternative service for youth living independently. The hours of service can vary according to individual needs, and may include monitoring of medication self-administration.
Flexible Services
When a family's needs do not match our standard services, we will work together with the family and other involved parties to customize a plan to help the family meet their goals.
Hypnotherapy for Drug, Alcohol, or Smoking Cessation
Home for Good offers hypnotherapy for drug, alcohol, or smoking cessation. Hypnotherapy can be provided to clients receiving home-based services, and to their immediate family members. Home for Good does not provide hypnotherapy as a stand-alone service. Hypnotherapy services are FAPT-funded or self-pay.
